چکیده

The paper describes the simulation of delay times of high speed ampli ers in microstructures. Beyond the current standard of about 10GB/s ringing and instability{problems increase in data ampli ers with an negative feedback within a stage. There are three causes for instability of the closed loop gain: (1) a not real feedback gain (gfb) by the combined parasitic e ects of line inductances and stray capacitances (2) too many poles (n) of the inner gain (gi) and (3) too large delay times (td). Let us assume: n = 1 and concentrate on time delays. Results will be given in the case of an unity{ gain{ampli er and a current{to{voltage converter with an inner transistor ampli cation of gi;DC = 10, a cut{o frequency of fo = 10GHz.

Circuit Design of a High Speed and Low Power CMOS Continuous-time Current Comparator

Current comparator is a fundamental component of current-mode analog integrated circuits. A novel high-performance continuous-time CMOS current comparator is proposed in this paper, which comprises one CMOS complementary amplifier, two resistive-load amplifiers and two CMOS inverters. A MOS resistor is used as the CMOS complementary amplifier’s negative feedback. Because the voltage swings of t...

Time Delay and Data Dropout Compensation in Networked Control Systems Using Extended Kalman Filter

In networked control systems, time delay and data dropout can degrade the performance of the control system and even destabilize the system. In the present paper, the Extended Kalman filter is employed to compensate the effects of time delay and data dropout in feedforward and feedback paths of networked control systems. In the proposed method, the extended Kalman filter is used as an observer ...

Analyzing the Effect Adding an Active Feedback Network with an Inductive behavior to a Common-Gate Topology as a Transimpedance Amplifier for Low-Power and Wide-Band Communication Applications

Common Gate (CG) topologies are commonly used as the first stage in Transimpedance Amplifiers (TIA), due to their low input resistance. But, this structure is not solely used as a TIA and comes with other topologies such as differential amplifiers or negative resistances and capacitances. This paper deals with analyzing the effect of adding an active feedback network to a common gate topology...
